Press Start then search command prompt Right click then run as administrator note: try to disable translation to see the correct command type: msdt.

Give your apps permission If you recently updated Windows 10, you might need to give apps permission to use the camera. Then turn on Allow access to camera on this device.

Step 2. Check your antivirus software In your antivirus software settings, look for settings that block access to your camera or permission to use your webcam. Step 3. Update a device driver using Windows Update In the search box on the taskbar, type check for updates, then select Check for updates from the list of results. Under Windows Update, select Check for updates. Windows Update will tell you if you need any updates or not, and whether the latest updates were successfully installed.

Step 4. Download and install the camera driver In the search box on the taskbar, type device manager, then select Device Manager from the list of results. In the list of hardware categories, find the device that you want to update, and then double-click the device name. Click the Driver tab, click Update Driver, and then follow the instructions.

Please go to your manufacturer's Support Page. Download and install latest drivers for your camera. Step 5. Roll back your webcam driver Press Start then search Device Manager Right-click the camera, and select the Properties option. Click the Driver tab. Click the Roll Back Driver button. Click the Yes button to confirm. Restart your computer. Step 6. Uninstall your webcam driver Press Start then search Device Manager Right-click the camera, and select Uninstall device.

Put a check on the box "Delete the driver software for this device" Click Uninstall Restart your computer and Windows will automatically install the driver after log in Step 7.

If your camera isn't listed in Device manager, test ports and run a scan If your camera isn't found in Device Manager, first try using the camera with a different port on your device. If that doesn't work, try these steps: Open Device Manager.

In reply to John DeV's post on May 4, The following are what occurred for each of your recommendations: 1. Already allowed - turned off then on. Still not working. I am up to date on all known drivers.

Like 4, I find no mention of camera or any other webcam type device. Same as 4 and 5. Any other recommendations? We have tried also with uninstall and reinstall of the App to check if the problem can be resolved. Pl advise an appropriate resolution.

We would be forced to shift to some other compatible chat app where we are not facing any camera related issues. Expected a debug activity to be done on the program side of the App or else put up a confirmation for to shift to some other better service provider chat app. This thread is locked.
